Who owns Drivingforces

Drivingforces is owned and run by Chris Ineson. His knowledge and understanding about what is required to achieve results is based on hard practical experience.

He has over 35 years experience as a director, CEO and a businessman across a varied range of businesses, sport and not for profit organisations.

Chris is a former international sportsman who has represented NZ at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich.

In his role as CEO of the NZ Sports Foundation he worked alongside New Zealand's leading business men and women. The lesson learnt is the platform to success is based on the application of best practice standards, quality planning, team work coupled with an ability to move with the times, experience, knowledge and innovation.

As the Foundation's CEO he worked alongside NZ's outstanding World and Olympic champion sportsmen and women of the calibre of Peter Blake, Rob Waddell, Sarah Ulmer, Hamish Carter, Grant Dalton, Barbara Kendall, Danyon Loader, Susan Devoy, Mark Todd, Richard Hadlee and John Walker.  The lesson learnt is there is no short cut to success – it is a thousand little things done well.
Through his consultancy he works with a range of small to medium size businesses on business growth, development and restructuring; business planning; financial management; staff and management systems and structures; HR; IT and as a mentor.

The combination of his own sporting and business background, along with the lessons learnt from working with high achieving sport and business people means Chris has developed a unique body of knowledge about how top sport and business people achieve success and how it can be applied to every business and every organisation, regardless of its size.   His business and not for profit clients have benefited from this with significant results in the performance of their organisations.

His values are –

  • Professionalism
  • Commitment
  • Accountability
  • Honesty
  • Results
“I want to bring to the business owner the dogged determination that’s characterised New Zealand since the beginning into the modern context. To do that it must be allied it to the intellectual vigour that’s needed to succeed - vision, ideas, planning, knowledge, innovation, strategy – these fuel high performance organisations. They are the areas that lead to excellence and eventually to success.”
